It all began for us on September 9, 2005 in Monte Carlo, Monaco, (The French Riviera), where the Rich and Famous vacation. We were being treated like royalty by Tahitian Noni International on one of the annual Vision Retreats. Monte Carlo is also a place that is so romantic that you don’t want to go there alone but as fate would have it, we were both unescorted. There we were hanging out with friends having a good time enjoying great entertainment, when Tony decided to take the stage with a little entertainment of his own. Everyone was in total shock because we did not know Tony could sing. The crowd was blown away when he gave us his version of Larry Graham’s “One in a Million You.” He performed it perfectly. As he began the second verse he maneuvered through the crowd and before I knew it he was standing in front of me with his hand stretched out for me to grab. I was so caught off guard that before I knew it, I was on stage being serenaded in front of all these people. At first I was a little nervous but then I just relaxed and had a good time. And that is how our story began.

After hanging out in Monaco together I realized what a great guy he was and the fact that he could sing didn’t hurt either (just kidding) NOT! On the flight back to Atlanta I had 6 hours to reflect on our time together and before I could touch down I couldn’t dial his phone number fast enough.

We started talking on the phone everyday and the connection that we made was incredible. We both love the Lord and know that he is the head of our lives and the center of our joy. We had little things in common like, we prefer drinking bottle water at room temperature, our favorite fast food restaurant is Chic-fil-a, and softball is a sport that we both enjoy playing.

By September 16, 2005 we were talking on the phone until 5:00 in the morning and we both knew we had fallen in love. During one conversation, out of the blue, Tony said “I’m going to marry you.” I replied, “I know, I’m going to marry you too.” Tony proposed and I accepted. Can you say “CAT QUICK.” Things happen fast when you connect with the right person at the right time, we now believe in the term SOULMATES!!!!
